Aligning Faith and Business: A Soul-Powered Coaching Journey

Hi Friends,

I’m at a turning point in my journey, contemplating branching out as a coach for Christian business owners. This decision is deeply personal and transformative. In 2012, during a period of intense depression and burnout, a Catholic priest’s refusal to grant absolution was a catalyst for my awakening. This experience led me to connect with a deeper spiritual truth I now call Soul Power.

A New Path of Integration

Last year, I returned to church—though not as a Catholic—and it felt like a homecoming to my spiritual roots. Now, as I consider coaching Christian entrepreneurs, I’m reflecting on how my journey intertwines with my professional goals. This contemplation brings to mind the story of Doreen Virtue.

A Transformative Shift

Doreen Virtue, once a leading figure in the New Age movement known for angel therapy, made a significant shift in 2017. She embraced Christianity and left behind her previous practices. While her decision sparked debate, for Virtue, it was a profound spiritual evolution, aligning her life more closely with her new faith.

A Harmonious Blend of Faith and Coaching

My journey, too, has been about blending my spiritual experiences with my work. Though I initially hesitated with traditional religious frameworks, joining a new church has been a powerful experience. Their teachings have resonated deeply with me, incorporating elements of coaching and personal growth.

Spiritual Wisdom and Business Success

This week, we were invited us to explore the Gospel of John, which brought to mind Don Miguel Ruiz’s Fourth Agreement: Be impeccable with your word. John 1:1 emphasizes the divine power of our words. Our words shape our reality, influence our relationships, and guide us toward our higher purpose. Being impeccable with our words means speaking with integrity and truth, essential for a spiritually aligned and purposeful life.

Overcoming Self-Doubt and Embracing Authenticity

For me, this principle means ensuring my coaching remains authentic and aligned with my spiritual values. It involves confronting inner doubts and fears—like “I can’t” or “What if I fail”—and choosing words and actions that uplift and empower. I strive to create a space where business and faith harmoniously coexist, transforming self-doubt and past programming into opportunities for growth.

Navigating the Crossroads

As I explore this new opportunity, I’m discovering that blending Biblical wisdom with Soul Power cultivates a leadership style that is both effective, freeing, and soul fulfilling. Leading from a place of spiritual insight and faith brings authenticity and passion into your professional life, transforming work from a mere job into a calling (to self actualize). By integrating your unique divine gifts, you create meaningful impact, experience deep joy, and embrace abundance—all written in the Bible. For anyone on a similar journey, merging spiritual insight, faith, and professional practice can be both freeing and transformative. On earth as it is in heaven. As above, so below.

If you’re navigating similar crossroads or seeking to integrate spiritual wisdom into your business and personal life, I’d love to hear your thoughts. How do you reconcile your spiritual teachings with everyday practices?

With much love and Soul Power,
Tess
